What we collect

Everything we hold about you personally comes from one source: the free-estimate form. There is no account to create, no newsletter signup, and nothing else on this site that asks who you are.

The form collects:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• The street address, city, state and ZIP code where you want the work done
• The service you need
• Your email address, which is optional
• How you heard about us, which is optional
• Whether you would rather we call, text or email you
• A description of what is going on with your yard, which is optional

What the form will not send without

Your name, your phone number, the full service address and the service you need are required. The form will not submit until those are filled in.

Your email address, how you heard about us and the description of the job are all optional, and leaving them blank does not stop the request going through. Preferred contact method is set to a call unless you change it.

The form also carries one hidden field that is never shown to you and that you never fill in. Automated bots fill in every field on a page, including hidden ones, so any submission that arrives with that field filled is discarded as spam. It is not emailed to us, it is not filed anywhere, and it is not counted.

Why we collect it

We use what you send for one purpose: getting back to you about the work you asked about. That means:

• Contacting you about your estimate request, the way you asked to be contacted
• Finding the property so Mike can look at the job
• Working out and discussing a price for the work
• Keeping a record of the request so it does not get lost in an inbox

Who receives what you send

When you submit the estimate form, your request goes to three places:

• Mike, by email. The request is emailed straight to Woods so the owner reads it and replies himself. If you left an email address, a confirmation of your request is also emailed back to you.
• An email delivery provider. We use a third-party service to send those two emails. It handles the message on our behalf and keeps a record of what was sent, the way any email service does.
• A customer relationship management system operated by our web provider. The same request is also filed as a draft estimate in the software Woods uses to track jobs and quotes, so a request cannot disappear in an inbox.

What we do not do with it

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or pass it to data brokers, and we do not use it to build a profile of you or add you to a marketing list you did not ask to be on.

These service providers work for us. They handle your information in order to deliver their service to us, and not for separate purposes of their own.

Separately from those three recipients, a scrambled form of your phone number, and of your email address if you gave one, is sent to Google when you submit the form. The next section explains what that means.

Analytics and advertising

This site runs two Google tools on every page, and both collect information about your visit.

Google Analytics measures how people find and move through the site: which pages you view, roughly where you are, and what kind of device and browser you are using.

Google Ads conversion tracking tells us whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to request an estimate. Woods advertises on Google, and this is how we know which ads are worth paying for.

We also send Google a small number of specific events. One fires when you tap a phone number anywhere on the site. Another fires when you successfully submit the estimate form, and it carries the service you picked, which page you submitted it from, and how you said you heard about us. It does not carry your name, your address, or anything you wrote in the description.

Enhanced conversions. When you submit the estimate form, the Google tag on the page takes the phone number you typed, and your email address if you gave one, and turns them into a one-way scrambled fingerprint before sending that to Google. The scrambling happens in your own browser, so Google receives the fingerprint and not your readable phone number or email address. Google compares it against people who clicked our ads, to work out whether the estimate request came from an ad. Your name, your service address and anything you wrote in the description are never sent to Google in any form.

This site does not show a cookie banner, and Google's advertising signals are switched on by default. That is what makes the measurement above possible.

There is no setting on this site that switches that off. Blocking cookies does not stop it, because it travels with the form submission rather than in a cookie. Google's own ad settings do not stop it either; those change what Google shows you, not what it measures. If you would rather your contact details did not reach Google at all, do not use the form. Call or text Mike at 407-666-4119 instead.

Cookies and browser storage

Our own website code sets no cookies at all, and saves nothing about you in your browser's storage.

The two Google tools described above set their own cookies. Those are what let Google recognise a returning visitor and connect an ad click to a form submission that happens later. You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time and this site will still work normally.

This site also switches off Google's Topics advertising interest feature in the browser, so your visits here are not used to build an advertising interest profile through that mechanism.

How long we keep it

Nothing deletes your request automatically on a schedule. It stays in the owner's email and in our job-tracking software for as long as it is useful to do the work and keep an ordinary record of the job.

If you would like it gone, ask us. Call, text or email using the details at the end of this page and tell us what to remove, and we will delete it from the owner's email and from our job-tracking software.

There are limits to what that reaches. The email delivery provider keeps its own record of the messages it sent for us, and we cannot delete from that. Neither can we remove what Google has already collected. And where a request turned into a real job, we may need to keep a record of it for the ordinary tax and business reasons any contractor does.

Your choices

• Do not use the form. Everything personal we hold came from it, and this is the only way to keep your contact details out of the Google measurement described above. Call or text Mike at 407-666-4119 instead.
• Ask us to delete it. We will remove it from the owner's email and our job-tracking software. The section above sets out what that cannot reach.
• Opt out of Google Analytics. Google publishes a browser add-on that stops Analytics measuring your visits on any site, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. It does not affect the Google Ads conversion described above.
• Control ad personalisation. At myadcenter.google.com you can review and switch off personalised ads. That changes what Google shows you; it does not stop the conversion measurement.
• Block cookies. Every major browser can block or clear cookies, including the Google ones. This does not stop the conversion measurement either, which travels with the form submission rather than in a cookie.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and what you type into the form is transmitted encrypted. We take reasonable care with what you send us.

No website or email system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet is protected in every circumstance.

Please do not send bank details, card numbers or a Social Security number through this website. We never ask for any of them here, and there is no field for them.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on a property. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles your information, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top of it. We do not send a notice when that happens, so check back here if it matters to you.
